Two of the men given life sentences for the murders of two teenage girls at a New Year's party in Birmingham are to appeal against their convictions.
Charlene Ellis, 18, and Letisha Shakespeare, 17, were killed outside a hairdresser's in Aston in 2003.
Marcus Ellis, 24, and Rodrigo Simms, 20, were convicted of the shootings in March with two other men.
Their solicitor Errol Robinson says he thinks they have a good case to be granted leave to appeal.
He said: "These things can never be predicted but there is a clear and proper basis for the appeal - use of anonymous witnesses, of dubious character in the circumstances.
"I would hope that justice would prevail."
Michael Gregory, 22, Nathan Martin, 26, were also found guilty of murder.
Charlene's half-brother Ellis, Gregory and Martin were ordered to serve at least 35 years in prison.
Rodrigo Simms, 20, who was sentenced to 27 years, received a lesser sentence because of his younger age. He was 18 at the time of the killings.
