A four-year-old girl has been found safe following a three-day hunt sparked when a man was seen apparently putting a child into the boot of a car.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of child cruelty after a UK-wide operation, South Wales Police said.
Detectives were alerted by shoppers at a Sainsbury's store in Swansea, who reported seeing a girl being put in the boot of an estate car last Wednesday.
The men are being held at a police station in England.
A spokesman for the South Wales force said: "Two men have been arrested on suspicion of child cruelty and are currently detained at a police station in England.
"South Wales Police would like to thank the media and public for their assistance, and would like to commend the prompt reactions to our appeal which led to this successful result."
Detectives are waiting to interview the two men.
