A four-year-old girl has been found safe following a three-day hunt sparked when a man was seen apparently putting a child into the boot of a car.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of child cruelty after a search involving police forces in England and Wales.
Shoppers at a Sainsbury's store in Swansea alerted police and said they had seen a girl being put in the boot of an estate car on Wednesday.
Police said the men were being held in England, but did not give more details.
A spokesman for South Wales police said: "[We] would like to thank the media and public for their assistance, and would like to commend the prompt reactions to our appeal which led to this successful result."
London connection
The spokesman gave no further information on the circumstances of the arrests, or where the girl was from.
The car had been seen in the London area on the day before the Swansea report was made, and it headed back into England on Wednesday evening.
Up to 20 officers have been working on the case.
South Wales Police worked with the Metropolitan Police and Avon and Somerset Constabulary, as well as neighbouring Welsh forces.
Detectives are now waiting to interview the two men.
